Wednesday

So today is only three days to this year's big do - my sisters wedding. It has surprised me all the people who are concerned about how I feel.  Obviously I am really happy she has met someone who appreciates and loves her.  Isn't that what we all want for those we care about. I gave been reminded politely and not so politely that I am Now the last sister on the shelf.  Yes, it's true it's just me.  However just me includes a whole family of friends, family - blood and non blood and assorted adventurers and just random connections.  Perhaps in Victorian England I could agree with the statement being on a shelf but right now in sunny Dorset I am too busy to waste my time sitting on shelves.

Today I have had a great ole day mucking about with my mate and her loverly family.  We went out to lunch and sat drinking cappuccinos admiring the beautiful British view - mainly sea and clouds. Stunning from the inside.  We watched Tom Daly and his mate try and get a medal for TeamGB .  Tom came an admirable fifth.     Later we went to an amazing tent shop.  Yes I know that doesn't sound exciting.  But seriously.  The tents had lounges, walk in wardrobes, shoe racks and porches.  The lounge was bigger than my house lounge. Amazing. And only a grand ha ha. Perhaps not in this life time.

I have restarted this blog more as a diary than anything else.   I think I want to be able to spend time to just value what I have.  This space is for me to be able to chat, rant, and just muck about with. With any luck I will not just talk about cats and dresses although that might be more difficult than I imagine. So today what are the plans?? I have realised that I have only 5 weeks until Claire's wedding.  The unrealistic task of loosing 3 stone in five weeks is completely unachievable.  However if I start cycling, if I stop eating so much cake and maybe if I actually attempt this I might loose a little bit.  Luckily, or unluckily I have a bit of a financial crisis in that its SIX days to pay day and I am already nearly out of cash.  I can therefore focus on the benefits of cereal and cycling to work.  Ha Ha needs must.  So here is Jane.  Named after Miss Marple as I believe this is the perfect bicycle for pottering about s...
